Meet The Pastor

was born January 18, 1965 to Walter and Charlene Dorsey.  He has five siblings: Johnny, Sandra, Harrell, Walter, and Kerisha.  He attended Terrell Public Schools and graduated from Terrell High in 1983.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at age 17.  He accepted his call to the ministry and preached his first sermon April 10, 1983 and was ordained June 10, 1984 by the Highland Baptist Church under the leadership of James Richardson. 

Rev. Dorsey enjoys spending time with his family, weight lifting, football, basketball, and studying the Word of God.  He loves to spend any free time with his "Sweetie".

Rev. Dorsey attended Bishop College, Southern Bible Institute, and Dallas Theological Seminary Lay Institute.  He is currently working on a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministry at Criswell College.  He has 14 years of pastoral experience.  He was the Under Shepherd of the St. Mary, Lindale, from September 1986 to January 1991.  Mt. Olive, Tyler, from January 1991 to December 1997.  Goodwill, Dallas, from December 1997 to August 1999.   He is Founder and Pastor of the True Believers of Christ Baptist Church.
